Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grant Program Comments to EPA and Letter to Congress

NMSA submitted formal comments to EPA in response to an official request for input from stakeholders on the allocation of funds to states for the recently established Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grant Program.  In a coordinated fashion, NMSA submitted letters to key Congressional offices on this topic as well, as the funding for this program is likely to be significantly increased in the Water Resources Development Act of 2020 (also known as America’s Water Infrastructure Act, or AWIA, of 2020).  NMSA views key aspects of this new program as potentially limiting to the MS4 sector, which is the basis for comments provided.
